After my long padstal break, I resume my journey towards Napier. After riding through a beautiful hilly country, I arrive in Napier, in the Western Cape, in South Africa.
Because of the rain, I miss the guest house I booked and I meet a strange man, a man who has a military museum that is not a museum. He also fabricates beautiful chess pieces in reference to the most famous battles in human History. The visit of his strange eerie cave is pretty fascinating.
After this unexpected adventure, I find my guest house, it's a wonderful old style room in a very cozy house. The owners are super friendly and are surprised to see a "real" French, as if the French were some kind of an endangered species.
The next day is my last ride South in Africa. I am super motivated and I quickly reach Struisbaai. On the way, I meet a friendly American cyclist. In Struisbaai, I buy some of the beautiful work of a local craftsman before finally reaching the end of Africa! I finally reached Cape Agulhas, the Southernmost point in Africa. This is the end of my journey South.
