I took my brand new 2026 KTM 990 RC R and did something most people wouldn’t—I removed the exhaust silencer and built a homemade exhaust delete pipe. This wasn’t about being obnoxiously loud or ruining a new bike. The goal was an OEM-plus sound: deeper, more aggressive, and sharper without crossing into straight-pipe chaos. In this video, I walk through the process of making the exhaust delete, installing it on the bike, and hearing how the 990 RC R sounds without the silencer.
