Marc Marquez crashed at Turn 13 in the Jerez Sprint as rain started to fall. Instead of retiring, he picked the bike up, cut across the track to the pitlane, switched to his wet-weather bike, and won the race. No penalty was issued. Some called it quick thinking. Others called it evil genius. Either way it is one of the wildest sprint wins in modern MotoGP history. The follow-up: Marquez crashed out of Sunday's grand prix on lap two after being passed by his brother Alex, who went on to win his second consecutive Spanish GP and ended Bezzecchi's five-race win streak. The factory Ducati team is now in the middle of its worst Sunday podium drought in over a decade.

Ken Roczen won the Philadelphia Supercross on a muddy track at Lincoln Financial Field, taking the points lead for the first time this year. Roczen holds a four-point lead over Lawrence with two rounds remaining at Denver and Salt Lake City. Lawrence crashed on lap eight but recovered to finish third and still controls his own destiny. Eli Tomac is out with hip and shoulder injuries from a qualifying crash in Cleveland. His title hopes are essentially over.

Yamaha is recalling certain 2026 TW200 motorcycles because the speedometer may become inoperative or display an inaccurate speed. Owners are advised not to ride until the repair is performed. A do not ride recall is rare. If you own a TW200, check your VIN on NHTSA.gov now.

Formula 1 returns this weekend at the Miami Grand Prix, the season's second Sprint weekend. Antonelli leads the championship after his Suzuka win. Before Miami, the FIA agreed to a series of mid-season regulation changes after complaints from drivers and teams. Maximum engine output is being reduced from 8MJ to 7MJ. A visual warning system with flashing lights is being added to alert following drivers of closing speed danger. ERS deployment is being reduced to improve car control in low-grip conditions. Mid-season rule changes are rare. F1 adjusting its 2026 ruleset four races in is a big deal.
