In the second installment of our Across the Amazon miniseries, we detour to an indigenous village on the Peruvian-Ecuadorian border, before finally boarding a cargo vessel en route to Iquitos, Peru.

But record-high temperatures and record-low water levels plague our journey, as we are confronted with the harsh realities of life (and death) in the Amazon.
