Four-time Superbike Champion Josh Hayes had a strange crash in Supersport race one at COTA when he lost the front of his Squid Hunter Racing Yamaha, temporarily saved it with his knee, but ultimately slid out unhurt. Hayes remounted and soldiered on to finish 21st.
