Today at Motorcycle Rewind we are back on the super rare Honda CM91 with the Honda Customs Group Student Kit, and this time the mission is to fix one of the bike’s most visible problems — the busted headlight shell.
Rather than hunting down an impossible-to-find replacement, we decided to try saving the original piece using the Katerk cordless plastic welder. If you work on old motorcycles, mini bikes, or vintage plastic parts, you already know how valuable it can be to repair what you have instead of replacing it.
This episode is all about bringing this rare little Honda back one step at a time. We take a closer look at the damaged headlight housing, break out the plastic welder, and see if we can make a solid repair that looks good and keeps this classic machine moving in the right direction.
The Honda CM91 is already an uncommon bike, and having one fitted with the Honda Customs Group Student Kit makes it even more special. That is what makes even a small repair like this one worth the effort. Sometimes saving an old motorcycle is not about big dramatic moments — sometimes it is about carefully repairing the rare parts you may never find again.
If you enjoy vintage Honda motorcycles, rare minibikes, garage repairs, plastic welding, Honda CM91 projects, and bringing old motorcycles back to life, you should be right at home here.
