Join me on this journey of making an open source motorcycle computer based on the Arduino framework! The long term goal is to make a flexible system for modernizing the wiring on older motorcycles, or for making a new custom wiring if the original one is damaged. I am calling this project: Ctrl-MC (short for: Control MC)
In this episode I am trying to build a speedometer based on very basic components. Many have tried it before me, and most say there's too much electrical noise from the motorcycle making it difficult to make a reliable system. Well, I had to make an attempt.
This video is also episode four in the second season of my Elefant Adventures series where I am fixing my Cagiva Elefant 750. The speedometer I am making is not only a prototype for the Ctrl-MC project, but also something I need for my adventure motorcycle. It's like killing two birds with one stone (or "slå to fluer i en smekk" as we say here in Norway
