The MotoCamping build continues with the mighty 1980 Honda CT110 and in this episode it’s all about cleaning, fixing, and getting one step closer to hitting the campground.
We start by knocking years of dirt and grime off this old Honda using a pressure washer and some Dawn PowerWash. It’s amazing what a good cleaning can reveal underneath all that buildup. Once the bike is clean, we turn our attention to the rusty bits using Rust Aid Rust Remover Spray. Spray it on, let it work, rinse it off… and watch the magic happen.
While everything is drying, it’s time for a little garage ingenuity. Instead of ordering parts, we make our own air filter using sheet foam and super glue. Simple, cheap, and it gets the job done.
We wrap things up by building out a to-do list to get this CT110 fully prepped for MotoCamping duty. This bike is slowly turning into a lightweight camping rig that can go just about anywhere.
This is one step closer to loading it up and heading out for an overnight trip with only what the CT110 can carry.
